A short piece of interactive fiction inspired by RIFTS. Played with a single six-sided die, or just use something like Roll a Die.

There's a lot of media about tabletop roleplaying lately but very little of it captures the experiences I had of playing these games as a child. It was not some sacred rite of initiation — it was often frustrating, with petty, vindictive, and railroading dungeon masters and players more interested in living out their own individual fantasies than playing a game with other people. It was still pretty fun.

I loved the mechanic of rolling a real dice while playing this!!! I wish more interactive fiction did this. I'm dying to play another game where I get to roll my dice.

My limited high school experience with D&D had a good DM but one player who did wild stuff and probably ruined the grand design. It was also still fun. Thanks for making this.
